دکتر بابایی خورزوقی معاون دانشجویی دانشگاه در گفتگو با روابط عمومی دانشگاه به تشریح واقعه آتش سوزی بامداد شنبه خوابگاه ۱۲ الغدیر پرداخت.
وی اظهار داشت این آتش‌سوزی حوالی ساعت یک بامداد در یکی از دفاتر خوابگاه ۱۲ الغدیر مستقر در طبقه زیرزمین این خوابگاه رخ داد. در این حادثه تعدادی کمد، کتاب، کارتن و ... دچار آتش‌سوزی شده و دود ناشی از آن به طبقات فوقانی خوابگاه نفوذ کرده بود.
بابایی گفت: در این حادثه که با حضور به موقع نیروهای آتش‌نشانی اطفاء شد یکی از دانشجویان در هنگام خروج اضطراری آسیب‌دیدگی جزیی دید و دو نفر دچار دودگرفتگی خفیف شدند که همگی به صورت سرپایی مداوا شدند. الحمدالله این حادثه مشکل جانی نداشته و دانشجویان بعد از حدود یک‌ساعت از آتش سوزی در این خوابگاه مستقر هستند.
