Замминистра сельского хозяйства региона Андрей Ариткулов рассказал, что уже третий год подряд область наращивает посевы технических культур, особенно амаранта. Если раньше под эту культуру выделяли всего 200 гектаров, то теперь речь идёт о более чем 5000 гектаров земли.
Сейчас амарант планируют выращивать в Промышленновском и Топкинском округах — в северных районах области необходимый период благоприятных температур для культуры. Полученный опыт распространят и на другие предприятия региона.
