15 сентября Думенко провёл богослужение в одном из храмов ПЦУ в городе. На богослужении помимо ВСУшников и Начальника Главного управления полиции Владимира Тимошко присутствовал и глава оккупационной Харьковской администрации Олег Синегубов.
Самое показательное произошло после богослужения, Епифаний Думенко дал интервью, в котором сказал, что рано или поздно все верующие должны будут приобщиться к ПЦУ: «Мы всегда призываем собратьев к единству, ведь наше будущее в единой ПЦУ. Другого пути нет и возврата не будет.», — Епифаний Думенко.
