Отошёл к Господу мой лучший друг, крëстный моей дочери, замечательный историк и учитель, дорогой и любимый Дмитрий Юрьевич Степанов. 8 марта 2025 года Господь забрал раба Божьего Дмтьрия в Раифском монастыре под Казанью, где он служил насельником и преподавал в Казанской семинарии. Диме было всего 38 лет. Главный фундаментальный труд его жизни "Русь, Малая Русь, Украина. Этническое и религиозное в сознании населения украинских земель эпохи Руины".

Вечная память и царствие небесное.

The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred."
