Спиртзавод «Кемлянский», который принадлежит родственникам экс-главы Мордовии и бывшего губернатора Самарской области Николая Меркушкина, продолжает сбрасывать в реку Алатырь опасные вещества, несмотря на ранее выявленные нарушения, выяснили «Известия».
Также сброс в Алатырь осуществляет ООО «Сыродельный комбинат «Ичалковский».
Переход загрязнения в Чувашию, считает эколог Дмитрий Федоров, повышает риски гибели краснокнижной рыбы, например, сурской стерляди, в месте слияния рек Алатырь и Сура. Эколог Дмитрий Левашов отметил, что загрязнение водоема может отразиться и на людях, привести к их отравлениям.
