Депутаты на пленарном заседании от 8.04.2025 единогласно приняли закон о ратификации Договора о всеобъемлющем стратегическом партнерстве между Российской Федерацией и Исламской Республикой Иран. Документ был внесен Президентом РФ Владимиром Путиным.
Договор был подписан 17 января 2025 года в ходе визита Президента Ирана Масуда Пезешкиана в Москву. Согласно документу стороны стремятся к углублению и расширению отношений во всех сферах, представляющих взаимный интерес, укреплению кооперации в области безопасности и обороны, тесной координации деятельности на региональном и глобальном уровнях, что соответствует долгосрочному, всеобъемлющему и стратегическому партнерству.
