Мессенджер Signal запустил анонсированную ранее возможность сокрытия номера телефона

Сделать это очень просто:

1️⃣ Для начала обновить приложение до последней версии

2️⃣ После этого приложение предложит вам выбрать Nickname и две цифры к нему

3️⃣После выбора имени открываем настройки

4️⃣ Переходим в раздел «Конфиденциальность»

5️⃣ Там выбираем «Номер телефона» и отмечаем пункты
- кто может видеть мой номер - Никто
- кто может найти меня по номеру - Никто (тогда никто действительно не сможет написать вам до тех пор, пока вы сами не напишете или не поделитесь своим именем пользователя вместе с секретными цифрами)

Телефон останется доступен контактам, которые сохранили его в адресной книге

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. If you initiate a Secret Chat, however, then these communications are end-to-end encrypted and are tied to the device you are using. That means it’s less convenient to access them across multiple platforms, but you are at far less risk of snooping. Back in the day, Secret Chats received some praise from the EFF, but the fact that its standard system isn’t as secure earned it some criticism. If you’re looking for something that is considered more reliable by privacy advocates, then Signal is the EFF’s preferred platform, although that too is not without some caveats. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop.
