وعن عطاء ﴿ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ﴾ قال: بالسلام.
وعن مجاهد قال: السلام عليك إذا لقيته.
وقال الطبري:
وقوله: ﴿ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ﴾ يقول تعالى ذكره لنبيّه محمد ﷺ: ادفع يا محمد بحلمك جهل من جهل عليك، وبعفوك عمن أساء إليك إساءة المسيء، وبصبرك عليهم مكروه ما تجد منهم، ويلقاك من قِبلهم.
