Russian Su-24 Reportedly Crashes in Mali During Combat Mission

A Russian Su-24M, reportedly operated by the "African Corps," crashed near the Gao River while returning from a mission in support of Mali’s Armed Forces.

Mali’s General Staff confirmed the aircraft was not part of their official inventory. The crash was attributed to a sudden dust storm.

At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. "He has kind of an old-school cyber-libertarian world view where technology is there to set you free," Maréchal said. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise.
