А сегодня давайте полюбуемся на внучку Томаса О'Мэлли: красавицу Эвок!

Эвок – дочь Макалу и родная сестра Фуджитиво.
До двух лет Эвок жила в отчем зоопарке в Йиглаве (не на экспозиции), а весной 2024 года эта пушистая златоглазая валькирия переехала жить во Францию, в зоопарк Tregomeur.

Только посмотрите, какая она сказочная, роскошная, величественная и нордическая как её дедушка! Ещё один чудесный колючий одуванчик! 😻

Take a moment to admire the beautiful Ewok the Pallas's cat, the granddaughter of Thomas O'Malley!

Ewok is the daughter of Makalu and the full sister of Fuggitivo.
Until she turned two, Ewok lived in her home zoo in Jihlava (off-exhibit, away from eyes of the public), and in the spring of 2024, this fluffy, golden-eyed valkyrie moved to France, to the Tregomeur Zoo.

Just look at her — how magical, gorgeous, splendid, and Nordic she is, just like her grandfather! Another prickly little dandelion! 😻

Our heartfelt thanks go to Tregomeur Zoo and to Ewok's keeper personally for these wonderful photos ❤️

Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements.
