🔹این درخواست درحالی اعلام شد که این ایالت کمتر از یک ماه پیش کنت یوجین اسمیت را با استفاده از هیپوکسی نیتروژون اعدام کرد؛ اعدام اسمیت نخستین اجرای حکم اعدام با استفاده از روش جنجالی هیپوکسی نیتروژن بود.
