opportunity - про удачное стечение обстоятельств для совершения чего то,
а possibility - про потенциальную возможноcть того, что что то произойдет. Ну и синоним слова option.
Паттерны в которых эти слова используются тоже не всё одинаковые - of +ing с обоими можно, а вот to-infinitive только с opportunity. Зато у possibility есть that clause и of+ noun
🤯Надо отметить, что и у носителей языка бывают трудности с употреблением этих двух слов, и скажем
have a possibility, про которое Кембридж говорит, что такого не бывает, встречается в примерах из оригинальных источников в Ludwig, хоть и в ничтожно малом количестве.
