Его можно было бы назвать "Горе от ума", но действие фильма происходит не в России XIX века, а в США будущего, где на фоне воссозданной стилистики 50-х процветает тотальная уравниловка, творческая и интеллектуальная деградация. Главному герою не повезло - он родился умным и с этим надо, что-то делать! Финал картины очень трогательный!
