Эта комета была открыта совсем недавно в обсерватории Маунт-Леммон и стала самой яркой хвостатой гостьей в этом году. В осеннем октябрьском небе она достигла пика яркости, и 21 октября 2025 года сблизилась с планетой Земля максимально на 89 млн км. В последний раз комета пролетала мимо Земли более тысячи лет назад.
