Очень люблю этот фильм, я когда после него пошла делать интервью с Ральф Файнсом, то меня аж трясло, как я была впечатлена самим актёром.
И да, я, конечно, рыдала в конце и очень люблю этот фильм пересматривать - мужчина, ставший моей первой любовью, очень похож на его героя.

Неудивительно, что в 1997 году фильм был выдвинут на соискание премии Американской киноакадемии в 12 номинациях и в результате получил «Оскар» в 9 из них, включая награду в категории «Лучший фильм». А The Times назвали героев «идеальной парой».
