Свое решение она объяснила тем, что организация стремится к миру между РФ и Украиной, тогда как Латынина не видит сейчас возможности для этого: по ее мнению, мира не хотят ни Путин, ни Зеленский, ни Европа, надеющаяся, что текущая война отсрочит нападение на нее России, а Трамп устранился от конфликта.
Латынина заверила, что уважает членов «Антивоенного комитета», но разошлась с ними в позициях и надеется, что до сентября ситуация вокруг войны на фоне стратегического перевеса России как-либо прояснится.
