С аналогичным сбоем пользователи Рунета столкнулись 30 января 2024 года: тогда стали недоступны сервисы «Яндекса», МТС, «Билайна», «Мегафона», Ozon и ряда банков.
ТСПУ позволяют блокировать ресурсы в Рунете, а также способы обхода цензуры. Операторов связи обязали устанавливать их на своих сетях в 2019 году.
Отметим, что Телеграм продолжал функционировать. Вероятно, сбой ТСПУ не затронул протоколы, которые он использует.
