Платформа была построена в рамках государственной программы «Охрана окружающей среды». Спуск состоялся на «Адмиралтейских верфях» — одном из старейших судостроительных предприятий России. На судне можно проводить намного больше исследований, чем на обычной дрейфующей станции.
«Северный полюс» позволил продолжить регулярные исследования природной среды Центральной Арктики. Первый научный рейс платформы начался в сентябре 2022 года и продлился до апреля 2024. Вторая экспедиция ЛСП стартовала недавно — 15 сентября 2024 года. По плану, дрейф станции пройдет через приполюсный район и завершится в Гренландском море.

At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. Private groups cannot be seen by other Telegram users, but Telegram itself can see the groups and all of the communications that you have in them. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups. Under the Sebi Act, the regulator has the power to carry out search and seizure of books, registers, documents including electronics and digital devices from any person associated with the securities market. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news.
