جلال متینی استاد و رئیس پیشین دانشگاه فردوسی مشهد و بنیانگذار دو نشریه ایرانشناسی در خارج از ایران، روز ۳۰ دی ۱۴۰۳ در ۹۶ سالگی در آمریکا درگذشت.

او‌که به زبان و ادبیات فارسی علاقه داشت در سال‌های دوری از ایران هم به فعالیت‌های آموزشی و تحقیقاتی‌اش درباره ایران ادامه داد.

Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. And while money initially moved into stocks in the morning, capital moved out of safe-haven assets. The price of the 10-year Treasury note fell Friday, sending its yield up to 2% from a March closing low of 1.73%. Artem Kliuchnikov and his family fled Ukraine just days before the Russian invasion. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information.
