🇷🇺🇺🇿 On April 17-18 the Russian Delegation headed by Amb.Alexander Lukashevich, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, visited Uzbekistan as part of a trip to Central Asia to analyze the work of the OSCE field missions in the region.
💬 A vital discussion with Mr.Antti Karttunen, OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, and field missions’s staff took place on key issues of the OSCE, as well as the activities of the Office in all three dimensions and the priorities of its cooperation with the Uzbek side.
🤝 During the visit the Russian delegation was received by Mr.Laziz Karaev, Head of the Department for cooperation with the UN and other international organisations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and senior representatives of the Border Troops of Uzbekistan. A number of issues regarding the cooperation in the OSCE, as well as the conducting of Office’s projects on the assistant to the Uzbek authorities in the sphere of border security, cross-border threats countering, in economic, ecological domains and in human right dimension were discussed. The parties emphasized their commitment to further cooperation in international organisations.
💼 The Russian diplomats also paid a visit to a foreign branch of the Moscow State University of International Relations in Tashkent. They shared views with the students on the OSCE activity, priorities of the Russian external policy and answered their questions.
