انقلاب دوم مردم ایران در ۱۳ آبان، دو مقدمه داشت؛ هر دو هم در ۱۳ آبان بودند:
۱. تبعید امام خمینی(ره) به ترکیه در ۱۳ آبان ۱۳۴۳ که نهضت را وارد مرحله تازه‌ای کرد.
۲. قتل دانش‌آموزان معترض در دانشگاه تهران توسط رژیم پهلوی در ۱۳ آبان ۱۳۵۷ که به نام روز دانش‌آموز ماندگار شد.
هر دو این رویدادها، در اعتراض مستقیم و غیرمستقیم مردم به آمریکا بودند، از آبان ۱۳۴۳ و تبعید امام(ره) در نتیجه اعتراض به کاپیتولاسیون آمریکایی تا تجمع دانش‌آموزان معترض به پهلوی که یکی از ۳ محور اعتراض‌‌شان "استقلال" و نفی سلطه بود...
