عنه عليه السلام : في التَّوراةِ مَكتوبٌ : يَا بنَ آدمَ، تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبادَتي أملَأْ قلبَكَ غِنىً، و لا أكِلْكَ إلى طلَبِكَ ، و عَلَيَّ أن أسُدَّ فاقَتَكَ و أملَأَ قلبَكَ خَوفا مِنّي، و إن لا تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبادَتي أملَأْ قلبَكَ شُغلاً بالدُّنيا ثُمّ لا أسُدُّ فاقَتَكَ، وَ أكِلُكَ إلى طَلَبِكَ.
امام صادق عليه السلام : در تورات نوشته شده است: اى پسر آدم! براى عبادت من زمان قرار ده تا دلت را از بى نيازى آكنده سازم و تو را به خواسته ات وا نگذارم؛ و بر من است كه دَرِ نيازمندى را به روى تو ببندم و دلت را از ترس خود لبريز سازم . اگر خود را وقف عبادت من نسازى، دلت را از گرفتارى به دنيا پُر كنم، سپس در نياز را به رويت نبندم و تو را به خواسته ات وا گذارم
