La capital peruana fue sacudida este domingo 15 de junio de 2025 por un sismo de magnitud 6.1.

El movimiento telúrico se registró a las 11:35 a.m., con su epicentro localizado a 30 kilómetros al suroeste de la Provincia Constitucional del Callao, en la región Lima.

Según el informe del Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP), el temblor tuvo una profundidad de 49 kilómetros y alcanzó una intensidad de nivel IV en la escala de Mercalli en la zona del Callao, lo que indica que fue percibido de forma moderada por la población.

Hasta el momento no se han reportado daños significativos ni víctimas, pero el evento generó preocupación entre los habitantes de la ciudad y zonas aledañas, quienes sintieron el remezón con claridad.

Markets continued to grapple with the economic and corporate earnings implications relating to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “We have a ton of uncertainty right now,” said Stephanie Link, chief investment strategist and portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors. “We’re dealing with a war, we’re dealing with inflation. We don’t know what it means to earnings.” In a message on his Telegram channel recently recounting the episode, Durov wrote: "I lost my company and my home, but would do it again – without hesitation."
