89 seconds to midnight. Or how to spend time profitably on the eve of the Third World War.
The Russian-Ukrainian war demonstrates the illusory nature of popular ideas about the strength of peace and the relentless advance of social progress. Moreover, the very risk of new Russian expansions into the EU has revealed the inability of old defense alliances to fulfill their declared tasks. Even if the war does not directly affect European countries in the coming years, militarization will significantly affect the usual proportions of state budgets, the level of democratic freedoms, social policy, the influence of right-wing movements, and the protection of private life.
What does the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war teach us?
What should anarchists and democratic leftists prepare for?
What organizational forms are most resistant to social upheavals?
We suggest talking about this with Ukrainian combatant, activist of the organization "Social Movement" Fedir Ustynov.
The event will also include an action of solidarity with Denis Matsola and Vladislav "Iskra" Zhuravlev, left-wing activists who have been tortured in Russian captivity for over three years.

Fedir Ustinov is a member of the Ukrainian leftist organization Sotsialnyj Rukh (Social Movement), an experienced student and union activist who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. During his military leave, he has permission to visit Europe and is using this opportunity to share his thoughts with European comrades.

Telegram | DID YOU KNOW?

Date: |

In the past, it was noticed that through bulk SMSes, investors were induced to invest in or purchase the stocks of certain listed companies. Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. Recently, Durav wrote on his Telegram channel that users' right to privacy, in light of the war in Ukraine, is "sacred, now more than ever." And indeed, volatility has been a hallmark of the market environment so far in 2022, with the S&P 500 still down more than 10% for the year-to-date after first sliding into a correction last month. The CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, has held at a lofty level of more than 30. The picture was mixed overseas. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 1.6%, under pressure from U.S. regulatory scrutiny on New York-listed Chinese companies. Stocks were more buoyant in Europe, where Frankfurt’s DAX surged 1.4%.
