🔵От себя добавлю, среди нас о Генерале Попове ходили только положительные разговоры.
Да в августе в ходе контрнаступления противника мы прикурили, легли костьми, но выстояли. Правда и то что контрбатарейка практически было нулевой. Мы сидели на опорниках и нас по 19 часов в сутки обрабатывала вражеская арта. Насчитывалось 18 вражеских гаубиц, которые работали по нам.
Генерал Попов поддерживал нас как мог. Постоянно вводил резервы, постоянно. Общими усилиями под его командованием мы выстояли, хоть и понесли серьезные потери.
