Комсомольскую площадь, или же, в простонародье, "Октябрь", вот уже почти 55 лет украшает монумент скульпторов Тимина и Бельгаева. Открыли его 9 мая в 1970 году. Памятник состоит из 20 метровой стелы и скульптуры. Два воина, по лицам видно, что это русский и бурят, застыли в броне и готовы отдать свои жизни за защиту Родины.
В 1968 году комсомольцы Железнодорожного района заложили письмо будущему поколению. Однако, спустя 50 лет, в 2018, когда пришло время его вскрыть, капсулу не нашли. Несмотря на это, текст послания всё же зачитали. Дубликат сохранился в архивах.

Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Tuesday that Ukrainian forces "destroy the invaders wherever we can."
