The Wall Street Journal сообщает (также изложение) о применении ВСУ с июня партии разведывательных БЛА с вертикальным взлетом и посадкой V-BAT американской компании Shield AI, и что после опыта успешного их боевого применения Украина запросила "сотни" этих беспилотных комплексов. Заявляется, что V-BAT продемонстрировал очень высокую устойчивость к воздействию российских систем РЭБ и имеет дальность полета 300 миль (до 500 км). Утверждается, что в одном эпизоде в августе V-BAT был запущен "украинскими спецназовцами" с расстояния 40 км от линии фронта и на дистанции 100 км за линией фронта обнаружил российский ЗРК "Бук", который после этого был успешно поражен ракетами комплекса HIMARS. Комплекс V-BAT с 2021 г. проходит испытания в ВМС США, а с 2023 г. под военным обозначением MQ-35A также является одним из двух участников второго этапа тендера армии США на новый тактический БЛА по программе Future Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (FTUAS, Increment 2).
