Андрей Шутов принял участие в международном наблюдении за всеобщими выборами в ЮАР

Граждане и политическая элита ЮАР придают большое значение этим выборам. В стране появятся новые составы парламента, провинциальных законодательных собраний. В выборах участвуют 70 политических партий. Впервые введено представительство так называемых независимых кандидатов, идущих вне партийных списков.


Всего на выборах было зарегистрировано около 15 тысяч кандидатов, общее число выборных мест в законодательных органах (национальном и девяти провинций) – 887. В Национальную Ассамблею (нижнюю палату парламента ЮАР) избирают 400 депутатов.

Голосование прошло на довольно высоком организационном уровне, при высокой активности избирателей. Пока еще рано говорить о результатах, не подведены итоги голосования, но судя по всему, в государстве сложится принципиально новый расклад политических сил.
