Акция началась с молитвы священнослужителей Армянской апостольской церкви.
"Здесь собрались люди, которые не смирились со сложившейся ситуацией. Мы требуем освобождения политзаключенных, наших владык, Самвела Карапетяна", - заявил, открывая митинг, представитель возглавляемого бизнесменом движения "По-нашему" Алексан Алексанян.
По его словам, у Армении нет перспектив с нынешней властью, а народ ее отвергает. Говоря об атаке властей на церковь, Алексанян отметил, что нужно быть готовым в любой момент её защитить.
