لذا كان تصحيح الكتب عملية دقيقة في تراثنا، يجلس فيها الطالب بين يدي الشيخ يصحح كل حرف في الكتاب، ويجمع بين مقابلة النسخة على أصلها، وبين قراءتها على الأستاذ، وقبل هذا يتعلم العلم نفسه ليملك قدرة ناقدة لخطأ النص، ويمزجها بأدب المعاملة مع كتب الأكابر.. وهذا يستغرق أزمنة يهبونها راضين في خدمة العلم.
أما اليوم فيبذل واحدنا كثير ماله ليحصّل نسخة مطبوعة سقيمة، يحتاج لتصحيحها دهرًا.
وإذا كان التعلم من الكتاب مذمومًا في تراثنا، فالتعلم من المطبوع اليوم باب الجهل، والكلام في الغالب، والله على أمره غالب!
