Президент России Владимир Владимирович Путин посетил Свято-Троицкую Александро-Невскую лавру по случаю 300-летия перенесения в Санкт-Петербург мощей святого благоверного великого князя Александра Невского. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба Кремля.
В стенах обители главу государства встретил Святейший Патриарх Московский и всея Руси Кирилл, вместе они прошли в Благовещенский храм. Президент поклонился мощам святого благоверного князя Александра Невского и возложил цветы на могилу Александра Васильевича Суворова.
Патриарх Кирилл, в свою очередь, преподнес Владимиру Путину образ благоверного князя Александра Невского, «покровителя родного для нас с вами града, чтобы он хранил вас, как воин укреплял особенно в тех случаях, когда силы нужны оберегать Россию».
