Страшное ДТП произошло на улице Кирова: водитель «Тойоты» не справился с управлением и вылетел на тротуар, где сбил десяток человек, а после протаранил крыльцо дома. По словам очевидцев, мужчина был неадекватен и находился в алкогольном или наркотическом опьянении. Вскоре выяснилось, что ранее его лишали прав.

По словам губернатора Шапши, двоих пострадавших в ДТП отправили в областную детскую больницу, четверых — в областную клиническую. Ещё четверо задетых машиной людей от госпитализации отказались.
