🇺🇸🇵🇦Командование ВМС США перебросило в Панаму 50 военнослужащих из состава 1-го батальона 8-го полка 2 дивизии морской пехоты в преддверии Центральноамериканской конференции по безопасности (CENTSEC), запланированной с 8 по 10 апреля 2025 года.

Морпехи совместно с военнослужащими 1-й бригады содействия силам безопасности армии США (SFAB) проведут курс боевой подготовки с сотрудниками Панамской национальной воздушно-морской службы (SENAN).

Непосредственно перед конференцией для обеспечения безопасности ее проведения в Панаму прибудут:
🔹четыре истребителя F/A-18С из 312-й истребительно-штурмовой эскадрильи морской пехоты (VMFA-312)
🔹базовый патрульный самолет Р-8А
🔹транспортный самолет С-130

Кроме того, вблизи панамского побережья будут патрулировать:
🔹в Карибском море - крейсер УРО «Normandy» (CG-60)
🔹в Тихом океане - крейсер УРО «Chosin» (CG-65) и сторожевой корабль «Kimball» (WMSL-756)
