Актёр все обвинения отвергал: в США, по его словам, он уехал на несколько дней, навестить ребёнка, а фраза о протестах была произнесена во время съёмок сериала.
Козловский подал иск к Бородину о защите чести и достоинства. Суд отклонил два иска, но на третий раз всё-таки принял. В итоге суд встал на сторону актёра. Бородин будет должен выплатить Козловскому один рубль.
