Надеясь уйти от погони, «Жигули» свернули в поле. После двух предупредительных выстрелов, третьим полицейские повредили заднее колесо, вынудив лихача остановиться. Им оказался 17-летний житель Нартана. Машину забрали на спецстоянку.

Днем ранее в Урванском районе на дороге Старый Черек — Черная Речка пресекли еще один опасный заезд — несколько люксовых спорткаров задержаны и помещены на штрафстоянку.
