Новинка настолько пришлась по вкусу покупателям, что уже к лету продажи напитка в банках возросли почти в шесть раз. К концу года такое пиво разливали уже 23 завода. Первое баночное пиво, кстати, открывали обычным консервным ножом.
И только 1962 году Гавайская пивоварня Primo начала выпускать пиво уже в алюминиевых банках, с привычной ныне клапанной открывалкой.
