Такой законопроект внесёт губернатор Петербурга Александр Беглов в законодательное собрание города. Выплата в размере 100 000 рублей предполагается при постановке на учёт по беременности женщине, обучающейся по очной форме обучения.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram.
