تمكّنت قيادة الأمن الداخلي في محافظة حمص من إلقاء القبض على المدعوين محمد الجاسم ورائد أحمد الحمود، إثر قيامهما بإطلاق النار على إحدى دوريات الأمن الداخلي أثناء جولتها الميدانية في منطقة تل الشور بريف المحافظة الغربي، ليلة أمس، ما أسفر عن استشهاد أحد عناصر الدورية وإصابة عنصرين آخرين بجروح متفاوتة.

أظهرت التحقيقات أن المقبوض عليهما من أصحاب السوابق، ومطلوبان سابقًا على خلفية قضايا سلب وسطو مسلّح.

أُحيل الموقوفان إلى القضاء المختص لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقهما، وتشدد وزارة الداخلية على استمرار جهودها الأمنية في حماية المواطنين وتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار.

The perpetrators use various names to carry out the investment scams. They may also impersonate or clone licensed capital market intermediaries by using the names, logos, credentials, websites and other details of the legitimate entities to promote the illegal schemes. Ukrainian forces successfully attacked Russian vehicles in the capital city of Kyiv thanks to a public tip made through the encrypted messaging app Telegram, Ukraine's top law-enforcement agency said on Tuesday. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments.
