«Сегодня вышли «Сар. Листок» и «С. Вестник» с описанием войны между гарнизоном и Гор. Думой. Чем-то диким пахнуло со страниц газет, точно мы живем во времена Пугачевщины. Теперь наступило перемирие. Власть фактически в руках Советов Раб. и Сол. Д. <рабочих и солдатских депутатов>, но в сущности нет никакой власти, т.к. Советы не признают ни горожане в лице Думы, ни различные профессиональные союзы. Погода чисто осенняя, с обеда пошел дождь, к вечеру перешедший в снег. Из базарников никого не видел». Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. Meanwhile, a completely redesigned attachment menu appears when sending multiple photos or vides. Users can tap "X selected" (X being the number of items) at the top of the panel to preview how the album will look in the chat when it's sent, as well as rearrange or remove selected media. In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea.
