"شاید ۲۰ سال پیش بود که تصمیم گرفتم هر لباسی که روی استیج می‌پوشم از چرم حیوانی نباشد. قبل از آن از شیوه‌ی تهیه‌ی چرم حیوانی آگاه نبودم، اما بعد در این مورد اطلاع کسب کردم. ۲۰ سال پیش پیدا کردن چرم وگان با کیفیت کار آسانی نبود، ولی خب من از آنجا شروع کردم. با خودم گفتم که دیگر نمی‌خواهم به کسی آسیب برسانم؛ نه انسان‌ها، نه حیوانات. شاید ۱۰، ۱۵ سال پیش بود که وجترین شدم و ۷ سال پیش به خاطر حیوانات وگان شدم. به همین خاطر ارتباطات فوق‌العاده‌ای با افرادی پیدا کردم که به حیوانات کمک می‌کنند و آنها را از شرایط خیلی بد نجات می‌دهند.
من همیشه به مدت دو ساعت با لباس‌های سنگین روی استیج اجرای موسیقی دارم و این واقعاً خسته‌کننده هست. اما به لطف رژیم غذایی گیاهی سالم‌تر و فیت‌تر هستم، انرژی بیشتری دارم و وجدانم هم خیلی خیلی راحت‌تر است."

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital.
