Младенец не может оставаться младенцем, если только он не умирает. Младенец должен расти. Рождество — это только знакомство, на котором ни в коем случае нельзя останавливаться! Младенец должен научиться говорить, и если мы пройдём этот путь, то однажды Он скажет слово, через которое мы обретём спасение.

TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. Asked about its stance on disinformation, Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn told AFP: "As noted by our CEO, the sheer volume of information being shared on channels makes it extremely difficult to verify, so it's important that users double-check what they read." He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea.
