Сотрудники правоохранительных органов утром 8 июля пришли с обысками к журналистам в разных регионах России, сообщает «ОВД-Инфо». В Калининграде обыск проводят у журналистки Екатерины Ткачевой, сотрудничавшей с Sotavision, в Карелии — у журналиста Валерия Поташова, сотрудничавшего с «Новой газетой».
В Йошкар-Оле обыск проходит у двух правозащитниц Ирины Протасовой и Ольги Васильевой, сообщает «Общественный вердикт». В Иркутске пришли с обыском к правозащитнику Святославу Хроменкову. Все они занимались защитой прав заключенных.
Кроме того, в Сыктывкаре сотрудники ФСБ пришли с обыском в независимое культурное пространство «Револьт-центр».

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis."
