كشفت صحيفة "إسرائيل هيوم" أن كلًّا من السعودية والإمارات والبحرين — التي وصفتها الصحيفة بـ"المحور السني" — وجّهت تحذيرًا حاسمًا لإدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب عبر مبعوثه ستيف ويتكوف وصهره جاريد كوشنر، من مغبّة الإبقاء على حركة حماس بسلاحها أو السماح لها بإدارة قطاع غزة بعد الحرب.
ونقلت الصحيفة عن مصادر دبلوماسية أمريكية تأكيدها أن مصدرًا سعوديًا رسميًا شدّد على أن هذه الدول لن تشارك في إعادة إعمار غزة ولن تموّل أي مشاريع تنموية فيها ما دامت حماس تحتفظ بسلاحها أو نفوذها السياسي، معتبرة أن ذلك سيُفشل خطة ترامب للسلام والإعمار.
