Почти целый час мошенники «работали» с мнимой жертвой, разыгрывая настоящий спектакль со множеством вводных и действующих лиц.
Однако в самый кульминационный момент, когда «жертве» уже надо было платить, блогер сорвал маску, чем привел в бешенство мошенника: он долго вёл «пенсионера», думал, что денежки уже в кармане, а тут такое фиаско! Его самого развели, как лоха!

Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup. Unlike Silicon Valley giants such as Facebook and Twitter, which run very public anti-disinformation programs, Brooking said: "Telegram is famously lax or absent in its content moderation policy." He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information.
