Following GLRs four phase plan the ANP was renamed to the National Socialist White Peoples Party in 1967. GLR was assassinated the same year and Deputy Commander Matt Koehl took over. More serious ideological development was present during Koehls leadership but several factors led to devastating splinters which led to the slow disassembling of the NSWPP. In 1983 Koehl announced a "fresh start". The NSWPP reorganized as the New Order. Instead of a political party for governmental reforms, the New Order acts as a vanguard promoting a worldview: national socialism. Koehl passed away in 2014 and Martin Kerr, a oldtime member of the NSWPP continues to run the New Order to this day.
