Если построить дорогу из Закаменского района в Тункинский, соединив тем самым транспортно - дорожные и инфраструктурные сети Бурятии и Иркутской области, то Юго-Западное направление вкупе с обустройством и приданием пропускным пунктам в Джидинском и Закаменском районах статуса МАПП регион, да и в целом Россия, получит дополнительный импульс в развитии экономики и социальной сферы. На прямой линии с Президентом России желательно поднимать вопрос строительстве и ремонте данной дороги в комплексе с решением иных перспективных задач
