В деревне Дегунино состоялось освящение возрожденной Покровской церкви, подворья Свято-Успенского монастыря в Старице

Чин освящения церкви совершили митрополит Тверской и Кашинский Амвросий и митрополит Нижегородский и Арзамасский Георгий.

Каменная церковь при въезде в деревню была построена в 1819 году на средства прихожан.

Церковь испытала на себе и удар молнии, и пожар, и революцию, и Великую Отечественную войну. После войны, которая нанесла большой урон храму, его постепенно разбирали на кирпичи. Но он все же держался до последнего. Колоссальный обвал произошел в конце 1990-х годов.
