89 seconds to midnight. Or how to spend time profitably on the eve of the Third World War.
The Russian-Ukrainian war demonstrates the illusory nature of popular ideas about the strength of peace and the relentless advance of social progress. Moreover, the very risk of new Russian expansions into the EU has revealed the inability of old defense alliances to fulfill their declared tasks. Even if the war does not directly affect European countries in the coming years, militarization will significantly affect the usual proportions of state budgets, the level of democratic freedoms, social policy, the influence of right-wing movements, and the protection of private life.
What does the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war teach us?
What should anarchists and democratic leftists prepare for?
What organizational forms are most resistant to social upheavals?
We suggest talking about this with Ukrainian combatant, activist of the organization "Social Movement" Fedir Ustynov.
The event will also include an action of solidarity with Denis Matsola and Vladislav "Iskra" Zhuravlev, left-wing activists who have been tortured in Russian captivity for over three years.

Fedir Ustinov is a member of the Ukrainian leftist organization Sotsialnyj Rukh (Social Movement), an experienced student and union activist who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. During his military leave, he has permission to visit Europe and is using this opportunity to share his thoughts with European comrades.

As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. Asked about its stance on disinformation, Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn told AFP: "As noted by our CEO, the sheer volume of information being shared on channels makes it extremely difficult to verify, so it's important that users double-check what they read." In addition, Telegram now supports the use of third-party streaming tools like OBS Studio and XSplit to broadcast live video, allowing users to add overlays and multi-screen layouts for a more professional look. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app.
