Rendezvous mit dem Leben - The Book of Love (2016)

Der zurückhaltende, freundliche Architekt Henry (Jason Sudeikis) führt eine glückliche Ehe mit seiner flippigen, extrovertierten Frau Penny (Jessica Biel). Eines Tages beobachtet Henry ein obdachloses junges Mädchen namens Millie (Maisie Williams), die den Müll der Menschen in seiner Nachbarschaft nach brauchbarem Baumaterial durchwühlt. Penny ringt ihrem Mann das Versprechen ab, mal mit dem jungen Mädchen zu sprechen. Am nächsten Tag erfährt Henry, das seine hochschwangere Frau bei einem Autounfall ums Leben gekommen ist. Zunächst ist er am Boden zerstört, doch dann erinnert sich an das Versprechen, das er Penny vor ihrem Tod gegeben hat und versucht, das Vertrauen von Millie zu gewinnen...
