По словам Плетенчука, на полуострове «Циклон» исполнял роль ПВО в бухте Севастополя. Он был вооружен зенитно-ракетным комплексом «Панцирь-С», но, как утверждает Плетенчук, ни одного выстрела с этого корабля силы РФ еще не произвели.
